beginning sculpture attempts...

A few more of my beginner sculpting attempts. Just having fun learning a new hobby.

This guy was an attempt to learn how to use a basic armature for support underneath the clay. I had planned to make a Frankenstein's monster type creature but he's kinda just looking like a playmobile figure.

With this guy I had a more developed idea in mind but still no real plan or design. This is my awkward attempt at creating a Deep One from Lovecrafts Shadow over Innsmouth. He came out looking more like a punk rock alien.

I used a bottle cap as the base and started carving my way up from there started with the legs, then the body, arms, shoulders, head, tentacles...
